Instructors
Sensei Melinda Beaumont
Sensei Melinda has a 3rd degree black belt in Olympic Style Taekwondo and a 3rd degree black belt in American Freestyle Kempo Karate. She is currently pursuing a black belt in Arnis and Ju-jitsu as well.
In competition, she has finished 1st in the nation and 2nd in the world for ISKA Kickboxing, 2nd in the world in ISKA Weapons, 2nd in the nation at AAU Point Sparring, 3rd in nation for AAU Taekwondo Forms, 1st in the nation at the Elite Blackbelt Championships for both Karate Sparring and Grappling, 2nd in the nation at the Elite Blackbelt Championships for Weapons and Traditional Forms, 3rd in the nation at the Gracie PanAm Championships for grappling, and holds the state title in her division for Olympic Style Taekwondo Sparring and Traditional Taekwondo Forms for the past two years.
In addition to being an avid martial artist, Sensei Melinda is an elementary science teacher with 10 years teaching experience in the classroom, and 15 years experience running camp programs, and has a degree in Education from the University of Denver.
Master Bill Pottle
Master Bill Pottle began training at the Korean Academy of Taekwondo in 1992 under Master Ghassan and Grandmaster J.K. Chung, and martial arts have been a major focus of his life ever since. In high school, he was the head instructor at the Aurora YMCA Taekwondo program.
In 1997 he graduated from Overland High School near the top of his class and from 1997 until 2002 he attended Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, where he earned both his bachelors and masters degrees in Biological Engineering. He was an integral part of the Sport Taekwondo at Cornell Club, serving as captain and helping lead Cornell to five straight Ivy/Northeast League championship titles. In 2001 he was elected captain of the first Ivy/Northeast League All Star Team.
Master Jason McKenna
Master McKenna is a 5th degree black belt in Olympic style Taekwondo, 1st degree black belt in Hapkido and a 1st degree black belt in American Freestyle Karate. He is currently pursuing his 2nd degree black belt in hapkido, and a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Master McKenna has been training in martial arts for over 30 years and has competed nationally in Taekwondo, Karate, and Kickboxing. In addition to being the Head Teakwondo and Hapkido Instructor, Master McKenna is also the sparring coach for both Point Sparring and Olympic style sparring.
Sensei Zac Cram
Sensei Zac has been training in martial arts for over 20 years and holds black belts in numerous disciplines. A practitioner of Bruce Lee's Jeet kundo, Zac is a master of such arts as Karate, Taekwondo, Aikido, Wing chung, Capoeira, and many more! Sensei Zac is also a certified Yoga instructor who continues to train in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as well.
While living in Grand Junction, Sensei Zac was an instructor for High Desert Martial Arts. In his history as a martial arts instructor, he has trained not one, but two world champions in the art of Kali (Filipino stick and knife fighting)!Currently, he teaches elementary science for a company called Science Matters and tutors children in his free time.

Master Bob McKenna
Master McKenna has been studying martial arts for 35 years, and is a 6th dan in TKD under Grand Master Mountain Kim. He also holds a second dan rank in American Freestyle Karate and a first dan in Hapkido. He is an international TKD referee and most recently refereed at the US Olympic team trials. He serves as VP of the Colorado State TKD Association and has been referee director for over 10 years.
